Celebration of Life - Rita de Croos

The club is saddened to announce the passing of Rita de Croos on Tuesday, January 3, 2024. A strong supporter of local cricket, Rita was the mother of former Meraloma 1st XI scorer, Leilani Gunaratna, and mother-in-law and grandmother to past Loma players Vas and Vohara Gunaratna. She served many years as BCMCL secretary, including under the presidency of our own Gary Taylor. In the 2000’s she was a keen spectator and friendly face at many Meraloma 1st XI matches.

A memorial service will be held at St Michael’s Parish, 9387 Holmes Street, Burnaby, on Friday, January 12, commencing at 11:00am.
