The nets are up!! Practice starts this week under our new return-to-play guidelines
With the new easing of COVID-19 restrictions by the Province of BC and the Provincial Health Officer we are now able to use our nets for practice if the appropriate guidelines are followed. Cricket BC have issued return-to-play guidelines that can be found here
Practices will be conducted as follows:
All players must review and sign a health declaration form before they attend their first practice. This declaration requires that players not attend practice if displaying flu-like symptoms or have had recent exposure to someone with symptoms.
Practices will be scheduled in 1-hour blocks with 5 players per practice facility per one hour block.
Each block will be separated by 15 minutes to allow the first group to leave before the next arrives.
No player will be allowed in the area of the practice facilities prior to their designated start time and must leave at the conclusion of their practice time.
Each player must sign up prior to attendance and only those players signed up can participate in practice. No drop ins.
Players are encouraged to form groups and practice consistently in those groups to keep the number of contacts as low as possible.
All practice participants must declare that they have no COVID symptoms and that they have not been in contact with any person who has COVID-19.
No access to the clubhouse, including the change rooms and washrooms.
No access to the club bins will be allowed.
No fielding practice will be allowed so as to allow use of the park by other users.
If you would like to sign up for a practice session, please contact your captain or email info@meralomacricket.com.
